Marketing Manager

Description:

As the marketing manager you will be responsible for supporting and executing various marketing initiatives designed to promote the company’s brand, increase the number of qualified leads, and drive activity through the company’s digital properties. You will play a key role in executing our digital marketing efforts including email marketing, social media, video marketing, and website optimization.

In addition you will also write/edit blog posts and support the development of website and marketing collateral. You will coordinate tradeshow and off-site meeting logistics including vendor and participant communication, compiling information packets, travel and shipping arrangements. Someone who is self-driven and enjoys managing multiple tasks with strong prioritization skills is a must.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to drive qualified sales leads through a variety of marketing channels
  • Coordinate the execution of both traditional and digital marketing pieces, including sales collateral, presentations, video demonstrations, email campaigns and web communications
  • Take a leading role in writing content, editing, and managing the Appistry blog
  • Manage and execute social media efforts to drive engagement and increase presence in target market
  • Coordinate trade show planning, logistics, and execution
  • Manage reporting and analytics to track KPIs for all marketing efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or English preferred with 1-3 years of professional experience specifically in communication, marketing or related role
  • Strong communication skills – verbally, written, presentation, and interpersonal
  • Success in executing digital marketing strategies
  • Demonstrable copywriting skills preferably with a focus on life science communication or marketing
  • Experience managing multiple social media properties including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook
  • Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with content management systems, such as WordPress and analytic programs, such as Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems like Salesforce.com helpful
  • Must be an executer who is self-motivated, organized, responsible and detail-oriented. Able to drive projects and work with minimal supervision

Full-Stack Web Developer

Description:

We’re looking for a software developer with a passion for their craft. Our product is in Groovy on Grails but we know that a great developer could pick that up in a week, so we’re looking for someone with a base skillset in the Java ecosystem and experience with any of the big web frameworks. If you are experienced working with the full web stack from SQL to JavaScript, we are looking for you.

We want a developer who enjoys learning the latest technologies and is constantly honing their craft. We want developers who learn new things on their own because they want to. If there’s technology you think will help us be more productive we want to hear about it.

We make time in our sprints to improve our architecture and remove technical debt. We have an automated set of build processes and can do a release in one step. We have a multitude of automated tests that run on each push. We won’t accept a feature without unit, integration, and functional tests and neither should you.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Java or other JVM languages such as Groovy, Clojure, and Scala
  • Working knowledge of common Java technologies such as Spring and Hibernate
  • Experience with web frameworks such as Grails, Rails, or Django; micro-framework experience will be considered as well

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Inside Sales Representative

Description:

Appistry is looking for an energetic and aggressive inside sales representative to join our sales team selling to the Life Sciences community. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and closing new sales within your assigned territory. Along with closing business your daily responsibilities will include uncovering and generating new leads using both telephone and digital communications, qualifying and converting those leads into business opportunities, delivering presentations, and generating proposals.

Overall duties:

  • Deliver closed business monthly to meet assigned quota
  • Identify and generate new leads through a variety of methods, including internal lead sourcing, online sourcing, and networking
  • Cultivate and convert prospects into qualified opportunities via cold calling, email and online presentations
  • Engage in discovery conversations with customers to uncover new opportunities while also offering a compelling overview of our services and solutions
  • Collaborate effectively to move qualified prospects through the sales process
  • Follow up on referrals to uncover new opportunities
  • Orchestrate online webinars with prospective clients and/or existing customers
  • Maintain client relationships and encourage future business through timely correspondence and updates on Appistry’s latest offerings (via email/phone)
  • Work with Appistry personnel and outside partners to satisfy clients’ inquiries and develop new accounts
  • Maintain accurate and descriptive accounts within CRM (ie SalesForce)
  • Complete/maintain accurate sales forecasts, data gathering and reports for Sales Manager
  • Generate quotes, proposals and service agreements (includes product/service descriptions & pricing) via CRM
  • Initiate payment process and coordinate as needed with Appistry accounting department
  • Conduct post sale follow up meetings to gain feedback and ensure satisfaction while exploring future opportunities
  • Participate in sales team meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items
  • Identify areas of improvement in the company and assist in creating and implementing solutions

Requirements:

With a focus on customer centric selling, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to work with prospective clients to understand their needs and deliver our solution to meet those needs. The inside sales rep will need superior project management skills to build, manage, and diversify the account base for Appistry and its product solutions for the Life Sciences community. Additionally, you must be comfortable on the phone, delivering presentations to prospects, understanding the purchasing cycle with the ability to identify decision makers to build a sphere of influence within the account.
