Long time Appistry customer, Clearent was named by CIO Magazine as a InfoWorld 100 Award winner for the development of the Clearent payment processing system as one of the top 100 IT projects of 2009. We are proud to say, the Clearent system is powered by Appistry CloudIQ Platform.
CIO Magazine reports: “Every year, the InfoWorld 100 Awards celebrate 100 IT organizations that have implemented and integrated technologies in innovative ways in pursuit of concrete business goals. These 100 real-world projects stand as proof that striking a new path in IT can reap deep organizational rewards. This year has been no exception — especially in light of widespread layoffs and limited resources.”
The Clearent project, led by Mark Peck, Senior Vice President of Technical Operations, entailed building a .Net-based credit card payment processing system using Appistry CloudIQ Engine, and running in a private cloud computing environment managed by Appistry CloudIQ Manager.
Clearent was founded with the vision of creating an all-new processing platform that would upend the traditional mainframe-based industry by matching existing players’ scale advantages while also offering new features, dramatically reduced setup costs and timeframes, ease of use, robust reporting, and business intelligence tools. Clearent is the first and only payment processing company to design and build its technology from the ground up around the objectives of total transparency and flexibility. Appistry CloudIQ Platform has been a key factor in the achievement of this vision.
Way to go Clearent!!
