Message format

You may view the messages with the log monitor. Messages consist of a time stamp, MAC address, the fabric component identifier, code identifier, and definition. The MAC address identifies which worker in the application fabric generated the message. The message type indicates the severity level of the event that generated the message. The table below lists the possible message types.

Message type Description
Informational This message provides information regarding the operation and status of the fabric. For example, message 1000 Service Started no action is required.
Warning This message provides information about an element of fabric functionality.
Error This message provides information about a failure condition in the fabric.

The message definition is a brief sentence defining the code. Below is the syntax of a fabric task message.

<time stamp> <MAC address> <fabric component id> <message code> <definition>
