Appistry is seeking a Regional Technical Lead to provide pre-sales and technical/architectural support for accounts in the Midwest and Western region. The ideal candidate is a generalist who can combine his/her technical, and business knowledge and experience to drive Appistry solutions for our customer's infrastructure, LOB and mission critical systems. The candidate must be a self-starter who can take ownership of opportunities, working independently and/or by assembling and leading Appistry partners, other Technical Leads and Appistry Product Management as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Understand the current and future technical challenges for customers based in your geography, and based on that understanding, formulate and execute an overarching technical strategy with specific and detailed sales tactics to sell and deploy Appistry's products and technologies leading to customer-specific solutions.
- Understand Appistry and competitor technologies and strategy, and formulate plans to address competitive sales efforts. Create, manage, and own sales of Appistry's solutions to CXO-level and technical architect level customers. Integrate and plan for partners and Appistry Services in efforts to ensure successful transition from pre-sales to deployment.
- Positively impact customer satisfaction. Build and maintain technical relationships between Appistry and key technical personnel within assigned accounts, their systems integrators and Appistry partners and use your technical knowledge and skills to influence these decision makers.
- Provide technical support on sales calls, executive briefings and other account related activities by the account team executives
- Coordinate efforts with other Appistry and partner personnel, and leverage their activities to help achieve sales objectives.
- Create and conduct one-to-many presentations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept.
- Identify customer requirements and counsel account executives and management regarding how to best approach opportunities. Provide feedback as appropriate.
Qualifications: Applicants should have a strong technical background with 5+ years pre-sales and technology experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and presentation skills with the ability to articulate the advantages of Appistry technology to senior business and technical decision makers as well as front-line technologists.
Industry Experience (Financial Services, Intelligence, Healthcare) preferred. A BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is preferred. MCSE or equivalent professional certification is preferred. The candidates' expertise should include broad and/or in-depth knowledge in the following technologies: GRID Computing, HPC, J2EE/Application Servers, Linux, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, My SQL, Oracle, Web Services/SOA, Apache, C/C++, Java/Eclipse, Microsoft .NET/Visual Studio.
